Sui Ledger Nano S Plus setup

Ledger Nano S Plus is the entry-level USB-C device. Install Ledger Live, connect Nano S Plus via USB-C, initialize/unlock, update firmware if prompted, install Sui via My Ledger → Catalog, then pair in Sui Wallet Desktop. The Nano S Plus has enough storage for the Sui app plus several other apps simultaneously.

Sui Ledger Nano X setup

Nano X is the Bluetooth model with larger storage. Setup is identical to Nano S Plus. For Sui Wallet Desktop, USB pairing is recommended for reliability.

Sui Ledger Flex setup

Ledger Flex (touchscreen device) supports the Sui app. Setup follows the same flow — install Sui app via Ledger Live, then pair with Sui Wallet Desktop.

Sui Ledger Stax setup

Ledger Stax (premium E-Ink touchscreen) supports the Sui app. Setup identical to other Ledger devices.

Install Sui app Ledger Live — verifying

  • The Sui app icon appears on the Ledger device's main menu
  • Opening the app shows "Sui Ready" or similar app-ready screen
  • Ledger Live shows "Installed" next to Sui in the App Catalog

Add Sui to Ledger

"Add Sui to Ledger" generally means installing the Sui app — there's no separate "add chain" step on Sui. Once the Sui app is installed, your Ledger supports Sui.

Use Ledger with Sui Wallet Desktop

  • Switch to your Ledger account via the account dropdown
  • Send/receive SUI — every send transaction signs on the Ledger device
  • Stake — open Staking tab, choose validator, confirm on Ledger
  • DeepBook trading — order signs on Ledger before submission
  • NFT transfers — confirm on Ledger
  • dApp interactions — sign each transaction on Ledger

The signing key never leaves the Ledger device.

Ledger Live Sui app

Ledger Live is the management application; the Sui app is the chain-specific firmware on the Ledger device. Two distinct things. Ledger Live's role is limited to installing/updating/uninstalling the Sui app — actual Sui wallet operations happen in Sui Wallet Desktop.

Migrate Slush Ledger to Sui Wallet Desktop

Your Ledger device is independent of any wallet software. The same Ledger device produces the same Sui addresses regardless of which wallet you pair it with. To switch from Slush to Sui Wallet Desktop: open Sui Wallet Desktop, pair your Ledger as above. Your accounts and balances appear identically. Migration is essentially zero-work.

Lost Ledger access Slush wallet

If you lost access to your Ledger device but used Slush as the wallet UI: your SUI is recoverable using your Ledger's seed phrase (24 words generated when you first set up the Ledger). Recover the Ledger seed on a new device, then pair with Sui Wallet Desktop or Slush. The same Sui addresses recover automatically.
