Stake SUI on Sui Wallet Desktop
Earn the current network APY directly from your desktop wallet. Native and liquid staking, validator choice, and Ledger hardware signing — all in one place. Rewards land every epoch (~24h) and auto-compound.
Current SUI staking APY
Network APY · approximately 100 active validators · one-epoch (~24h) unbond. No slashing for delegators.
Why stake SUI
Idle SUI vs SUI that earns
Staking is how the Sui blockchain stays secure — and how holders earn the network's native yield without giving up custody.
No slashing
Principal stays safe
Auto-compound

Mechanism
How SUI staking works
Sui uses delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS). Roughly 100 validators are selected each epoch by total stake; each epoch lasts about 24 hours.
- Your SUI joins that validator's stake pool
- You earn a share of rewards proportional to your delegation
- Validator commission (typically 5–10%) is deducted first
- Rewards distribute and compound each epoch automatically
- Principal is never at risk — Sui has no delegator slashing
- Liquid staking via Haedal removes the unbond wait entirely
