What Happened to Sui Wallet?

On April 24, 2025, Mysten Labs rebranded their Sui Wallet product to Slush, merging it with their Stashed wallet. If you previously used Sui Wallet, you were automatically migrated to Slush — your accounts, addresses, and seed phrases are unchanged. Slush is the official Mysten Labs Sui wallet (browser extension and mobile only). Sui Wallet Desktop is the official Sui wallet for desktop — Windows, Mac, and Linux — built independently for users who want a native desktop application.

Sui Wallet became Slush — what changed

In April 2025, Mysten Labs (the company that builds the Sui blockchain) rebranded their flagship wallet product. The old name was "Sui Wallet." The new name is "Slush." The wallet itself — the browser extension, the mobile app, the accounts, the seed phrases, the on-chain addresses — is continuous. Only the brand was changed.

The rebrand also merged Sui Wallet with Stashed, Mysten's separate Web2-onboarding wallet, into a single product under the Slush name. Users of either previous product became Slush users.

If you had a Sui Wallet account before the rebrand, your wallet still exists — it's just called Slush now. You can continue using it the same way, with the same seed phrase recovering the same addresses.

Sui Wallet new name — Slush

The new name is Slush. The product is at slush.app. Browser extensions are listed under Slush in the Chrome Web Store; mobile apps are listed under Slush on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.

If you search for "Sui Wallet" on app stores or in the Chrome Web Store, you may still find the old listings (now redirecting to Slush) or the legacy package id com.mystenlabs.suiwallet. These are continuous with Slush — same product.

Sui Wallet name change — what is Sui Wallet called now?

Sui Wallet is now called Slush. Same product, same wallet, same accounts. Just renamed.

The previous name "Sui Wallet" is no longer the active brand for the Mysten Labs wallet. References to "Sui Wallet" today usually mean either:

1. Slush — the renamed Mysten Labs wallet (most common reference)
2. Sui Wallet Desktop — Wallet Connections LLC' native desktop wallet (this product)
3. The general category — any wallet that supports Sui

Mysten Labs Sui Wallet — what does Mysten still offer?

Mysten Labs continues to build and maintain Slush as their official Sui ecosystem wallet — browser extension and mobile. Slush is actively developed, with regular updates and integration into the broader Mysten product ecosystem (zkLogin, sponsored transactions, dApp partnerships).

Mysten Labs does not currently ship a native desktop wallet for Sui. That gap is what Sui Wallet Desktop fills.

Stashed wallet — what happened

Stashed was Mysten Labs' Web2-onboarding wallet — focused on social login and reducing friction for non-crypto-native users. As part of the Slush rebrand, Stashed was merged into the unified Slush product. Stashed users were migrated to Slush; Stashed-specific features (like zkLogin onboarding) became part of Slush.

If you used Stashed previously, your accounts are now in Slush.

Did Sui Wallet change — what did and didn't move

The only material change for users was branding. Functionally, the wallet is continuous.

Slush wallet vs Sui Wallet Desktop — what's the difference

These are two different wallets, despite the similar-sounding history:

• Slush — the Mysten Labs wallet, formerly called Sui Wallet. Browser extension and mobile. Built by Mysten Labs (the chain's principal contributor). The official Mysten Labs Sui wallet for browser/mobile.

Different products, different teams, different form factors. Both are official wallets in their respective categories. Both support self-custody Sui management. Both are legitimate.
